Resistance Insignia pin (2017)
Alyssa created the “Resistance Insignia” design as a personal act of catharsis shortly after the 2017 presidential inauguration. She intended the pin to serve as a wearable reminder that “this person of color, woman, daughter of an immigrant, American, and earthling is not going for a ride in this handbasket without a fight.” 20% of total proceeds are donated to the Southern Poverty Law Center, in support of their fight against hate, and the remainder is used to support our own nonprofit mission

Beautiful Monsters exhibition (2016)
“Beautiful Monsters” was inspired by the television series Penny Dreadful, bringing together original artwork, authentic props, an online auction of one-of-a-kind art and artifacts, a signature fragrance, a tarot card contest, and even an exquisite pair of Victorian-inspired gloves (hand-knit by a member of the Creeping Museum community) in a unique mixed-media “exhibition” to support the marginalized and forgotten.

Loyal Order of the Black Cat pin (2016)
In collaboration with renowned artist Stephanie Buscema, we created an “initiation badge” for a fictional fraternal organization. Preceded by a week-long social media teaser campaign, the initial release sold out within just a few hours. Stephanie selected New York nonprofit The Worthy Pause to be the beneficiary of all net proceeds from the sale of the Loyal Order of the Black Cat initiation badge, to support their goal of providing care to injured and abandoned animals and emotional relief to their human companions. Each pin was accompanied by a custom bookmark with information about the artist and the nonprofit organization she chose to support with this project.

Ghost of Taxidermies Past (2016)
We created our “Ghost of Taxidermies Past” pin in response to the troubling popularity of “Victorian style” taxidermy bat mounts as a home decor trend. Our goal was to raise awareness that most of these specimens are not antiques, and are usually made from healthy wild bats that were collected (often illegally) and killed specifically to be used as decorations. Each pin was accompanied by BAT POWER!, a handmade zine filled with information on why bats are important and what we can do to conserve them. Supporting social media content highlighted the work of artists creating bat-friendly alternatives to taxidermy. All net proceeds from the sale of “Ghost of Taxidermies Past” were donated to Bat Conservation International to support their mission of conserving the world’s bats and their ecosystems to ensure a healthy planet.
