It's a tiny museum and library inside a sidewalk book box...It's also a portal to another dimension, a way to stop time, and the best example of trust I've been privileged to experience in some time.

Acknowledgement of the Original People of the Land
Our Little Free Library and Gallery is located on the unceded ancestral land of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, bands of the Chinook, and many other Indigenous peoples. Ratified and unratified treaties between these tribes and the U.S. government resulted in the forced removal of these people from their ancestral homes. We honor and thank the original caretakers of this land, and acknowledge the trauma and harm of the systemic oppression which still impacts their descendants today.
The Library
Our Little Free Library book exchange serves our neighbors and local community, which includes Boise-Eliot Elementary School, Self Enhancement Inc., a nonprofit organization that supports underprivileged youth, the Q Center, Portland’s LGBTQ community center, and Albina Head Start, which promotes school readiness by providing educational, health, nutritional, and social services to children and families.
