The Details

Location, food & drink, tintype studio, and more.
Please join us on Saturday, August 24 at Alberta Abbey, 126 N.E. Alberta Street in Northeast Portland. Free general admission 4-9pm; Early Bird admission 3-4pm.

The Creeping Museum has staged exhibitions online, on collections of bookplates, and inside of a Little Free Library. We’ve held a salon on grief and mourning on a front porch, and a holiday celebration and shopping event in a storage shed. For our largest event to date, we’re bringing together a market featuring 45 unique vendors from across the country, a fairytale salon and reading curated by Michelle Ruiz Keil, and a pop-up tintype studio brought to you by the magic of Alchemy Tintype. We'll have a full bar serving cocktails, light snacks, and more, with all proceeds supporting Alberta Abbey's nonprofit mission of providing affordable arts space. A silent auction to benefit our four nonprofit guests will offer rare and alluring treasures. And DJ Ad Nauseam will be spinning post-punk, industrial, and various other dark and gritty ditties in the ballroom.

General Admission is free to the public from 4-9pm. Early Bird tickets are SOLD OUT.

Need to know more? Here are the details.
THE VENUE
The market will be held in the ballroom of the historic Alberta Abbey, located at 126 NE Alberta St. in Northeast Portland. We are thrilled to partner with this nonprofit community arts space and support their mission "To nurture the arts in NE Portland by providing affordable education, gallery, studio, and performance space to community members of all ages."

The Abbey was originally the home of Mallory Avenue Christian Church, founded in 1922 “to serve its community without distinction of person or race.” In the 1970s, the church became home to the YWCA and “People are Beautiful” program—which offered youth activities, cooking workshops, art classes, and other services to the neighborhood. By early 2012, the building was in poor shape and no longer in use. Today, it's a performance venue that also provides workspace to artists and arts organizations.
